(WACH) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is urging parents to talk to their children about online threats.
As students head back to school, Wilson says dangers like online predators, violent content, and deadly drugs are serious and growing concerns.
Wilson warned that predators are targeting children through gaming platforms, social media apps, and private messages, often while kids are at home and parents are unaware.
This is not just a back-to-school message. This is a wake-up call,” Wilson said.
You are your child’s first and strongest line of defense. The threats kids face today — online predators, violent content, deadly drugs — are silent, invisible, and often go unnoticed until it’s too late.
