COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson officially filed to run for governor on Thursday.
Wilson submitted his official bid at the South Carolina State Election Commission at 9:45 a.m.
After filing, he later delivered brief remarks outside the building.
The Republican Attorney General is seeking the state’s top executive office, adding his name to the growing field of candidates in the race.
AG Wilson was joined by his running mate, Mike Reichenbach, his wife, and supporters.
