COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joined lawmakers and sheriffs in calling for the passage of a bill aimed at accelerating the process of catching child predators.
The bill, S. 74, would authorize law enforcement officers, circuit solicitors, or the attorney general to subpoena electronic records to determine whether they were used to upload or download child sexual abuse material.
